Karratha Health Campus
The $207.15 million Karratha Health Campus is the biggest investment in a public hospital ever undertaken in regional WA. It has an expanded emergency department, a new CT scanner, a brand new surgical centre, new delivery suites and maternity wing, world-class Telehealth services, new and expanded outpatients and essential services such as child health and medical imaging, all under one roof.
The mining construction expansion over the last 10 years has seen a change in demographics and population growth in Karratha which has become a vibrant regional hub. The new Karratha Health Campus (KHC) will provide the people of Karratha with a state-of-the-art facility to deliver health care closer to home.
The extent of Applied Industries works covered Thermal Insulation to the chilled and heating water pipework using Polystyrene and Rockwool, Aluminium metal sheathing to all pipework in the Plant rooms. Applied Industries supplied and installed Trafalgar FyreWrap to duct work and completed fire penetrations to the pipework where necessary and all in accordance with the Consultants requirements.
Rosewood Aged Care Facility
Aged-care provider Rosewood opened its 120-bed Leederville home in August 2017, delivering some of the extra beds needed to help alleviate the State’s chronic shortage of accommodation for elderly citizens. The new two-storey building on a 4941sqm site at 5 Britannia Road is to offer around-the-clock care and revolutionary technology to help staff provide high-quality care. Rosewood Leederville will offer 120 single rooms in a home-like environment with 24-hour care, a self-serve cafe for residents and their families, a wellness centre, a podiatry and dental room, physio area and a medical room for doctors and visiting specialists.

Perth Intercontinental Hotel
The opening of the Intercontinental Perth City Centre marks the return of the brand to the Perth marketplace. The hotel held its official opening on October 15, 2017. This brings the number of IHG properties in Perth to 3, joining the Crown Plaza and Holiday Inn properties. The hotel is located on the corner of Hay and King Street in a building that was a Rydges in its previous life. This location puts it in the Kings St Precinct, is opposite King Street from His Majesties Theatre and amongst a wide range of cafes, shopping and supermarkets within a short walk from the hotel.

Perth DFO
The new DFO Perth has officially opened its doors. The 33,000sqm (24,000 GLA) centre, funded by both Vicinity Centre and Perth Airport as part of a joint venture and is located in the Perth Airport precinct, features 113 international and Australian brands, a casual dining precinct, a children’s playground and 1,500 car park spaces including two electric vehicle charging bays.
The $150 million project, constructed over 15 months, is Western Australia’s first outlet centre and the sixth DFO nationwide.

Raine Square
This Charter Hall’s $75m redevelopment of Raine Square will transform the central CBD site into a 7 day a week entertainment, dining and retail precinct.
The redevelopment will deliver 40 new stores and will see cinemas return to the Perth CBD for the first time since 2013 with 12 cinema screens along with enhanced food and entertainment choices and better linkages to Northbridge.
